Flowers in winter

The cold is not stopping the flowers blooming.  The anemones in pots are doing well.  I planted a packet of corms in autumn and decided they would be safer in pots and I think that was a wise decision as I know exactly where to look for them.  They are flowering in shades of blue, white and pink.
The bulbs have been giving me jonquils which have not stopped since June.  One of the hyacinths in a pot has flowered and the fragrance is stunning.  I enjoy lifting the pot to my nose to get the sweet perfume.
I have been picking violets, a job I enjoy doing in winter.  I have violet patches in different parts of the garden and it is a pleasure to look at the intense colours of the tiny flowers nestled against the green leaves.  I have the blue and pink varieties and I am still trying to plant the white variety.  I have failed with this one.
