Splendour of the early summer garden

The mermaid rose is an exceptional climbing rose which is doing very well after the hard pruning I gave it in winter.

My favourite summer flowers, the colourful sweet peas.

The apple green banksia as seen from my kitchen window.  In the foreground is the pomegranate tree, now showing flowers, promising fruits to come.

The magpie, a resident in my garden.

A friend who was giving up gardening gave me this Cape violet a few years ago.  It has been flowering without fail, every summer.

Winter Flowers

Jonquils brighten up the garden in winter.

The two varieties of succulent are blooming well in the cold months.

The azaleas are already flowering.

Even in winter the salvia and lavender do not stop showing off their beauty.

Summer garden

Cherries, sweet and juicy.

Flat peaches, looking like a doughnut, sweet and juicy.

Still waiting for these peaches to ripen.

These tomatoes are small in size but super tasty.

This hydrangea has small petals and live amongst the azaleas.

The huge hydrangea bush is on the east side of the house,  with the tall tree fern in the background.

This is the front garden with jacaranda, roses and agapanthus in bloom.

A perfect pink rose

The cosmos and dill with their feathery leaves are sharing a pot.
